Scope

Artificial intelligence is entering a new phase shaped by generative AI, agentic systems, multimodal models, AI copilots, autonomous workflows, and domain-specific foundation models. These technologies are rapidly changing how organizations design services, make decisions, manage knowledge, automate processes, and interact with customers, employees, citizens, and partners. At the same time, they raise new challenges related to governance, accountability, cybersecurity, sustainability, regulation, skills, and organizational transformation.

This workshop aims to assemble researchers from management, economics, social sciences, computer science, engineering, and related fields who are examining the strategic, organizational, technical, and societal implications of AI. In 2027, discussions will focus on the evolution from experimental generative AI toward enterprise-scale AI adoption, including retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, synthetic data, digital twins, edge AI, trustworthy AI, human-AI collaboration, and AI-enabled decision support. Special attention will be given to the responsible deployment of these technologies in business, public administration, education, healthcare, finance, sustainability, and other domains where AI is becoming an operational and strategic capability.

By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, the workshop seeks to generate actionable insights on how organizations can govern, evaluate, and integrate advanced AI technologies in ways that are innovative, ethical, resilient, and sustainable.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to a fast-track submission into "European Journal of Management Studies" (EJMS) https://www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/journal/ejms
