1st Workshop on Data processing in the cloud environment (DPCE 2022)

Scope:

The proposed workshop aims to provide the environment for new research techniques and optimization in the cloud environment. Currently, many research tendencies regarding the databases in the cloud can be identified. The necessity for autonomous data processing brings new perspectives for data management, architecture enhancements, optimization, as well as new storage structures, query, and data access optimization. The focus of the workshop will be on data processing, autonomous databases (transaction processing, data warehouses, marts, JSON, spatial and temporal databases). It will highlight the artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) related to the databases in the cloud environment, as well. We will cover the migration process from the on-premises world to the cloud and usage of the cloud technologies during the education process highlighting the usability, advantages, and limitations.
