1st Workshop on Advancing eHealth through Software Engineering Fundamentals (AeHTSEF 2021)

Scope:

The unprecedent technological advances have significantly impacted almost every sector across industry verticals. Healthcare is perhaps the field that has known major transformations and it is still experiencing rapid developments thanks to the multiple avenues of exploration and research that are opened up by technology. Whilst developing digital solutions remains vital to the healthcare field, an increasing emphasis has been placed, throughout the recent years, on the need to determine and resolve potential barriers to the successful implementation of these solutions. Software engineering practices play a central role in the delivery of effective, userfriendly, scalable eHealth solutions. This workshop aims to foster the cooperation among researchers and software practitioners in order to exchange ideas and promote lively discussions on the best practices of software engineering in telemedicine and eHealth. To this end, we welcome submissions dealing with requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, quality and empirical evaluation of practical eHealth solutions across all specialties. A special attention is drawn to investigations on the improvement of women health and reproductive healthcare services including contraception, pregnancy monitoring and postnatal care through eHealth solutions.
