2nd Workshop on Innovation and Digital Transformation for Rural Development (INDTRUD 2021)

Scope:

As innovation and digital transformation become part of rural regions’ DNA, one must ensure that those directly associated with scientific research apply their knowledge in proposing and delivering new and differentiated solutions for triggering the development of the referred regions. By acknowledging the overwhelming power associated with digital technologies and their ability to support and aid the implementation of innovative solutions and projects focused on inspiring regional development, it is important to create spaces where researchers and practitioners are able to merge their knowledge and awareness. Hence, with this workshop we intend to perform and facilitate a profound scientific analysis on the deployment of digital solutions in rural regions, namely on its use for the implementation of initiatives focused on the development of endogenous products and services that will improve the populations’ quality of life and the existing organizations’ business activities.
