ICTwithUAV - ICT solutions with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), usually referred to as drones, are a category of flying vehicles that are able to operate remotely. The designation "drone" has origins in the military, however it is now widely used to describe civilian technologies. The European Commission and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) include the UAVs in a broader range of devices that can be programmed to fly in an autonomous manner. There has been a great development in the civilian applications of this technology, being now possible to acquire some of this devices, at relatively affordable prices, in almost every appliances store. With this, several issues have aroused. From ethical questions to development challenges, several opportunities are open for exploring, concerning research, innovation and development of these devices.
We aim to publish the most recent developments on Information Communication Technologies that support UAVs, by focusing not only in the technological aspects, but also on ethical and safety issues.
